The Company
The company "Les Papillons de Saint-Jacques" (Les Papidjacs), in English “The Butterflies of Saint-James”, aims at offering the People with Reduced Mobility (PRM) a strong and unforgettable experience enabling them to recover a better harmony between the body, the heart and the spirit.
To do so, the company organizes long hikes of several days to several weeks.
Mainly articulated around the famous ways of pilgrimage from Belgium to Saint-James-of-Compostela (Galicia - Spain), the long hikes connect cities with very rich cultural inheritance via country and forest ways offering an intense communion with nature.
The Papidjac transport version, unique vehicle developed by Les Papidjacs, makes it possible for PRM in wheelchair to pass where no other vehicle could pass, while remaining in their own chair; in its car version, the Papidjac allows the same kind of transport for PRM without wheelchair.
Housing alternates camping and comfortable lodging in holiday’s estates. The escort as well as the technical and medical support is ensured by Les Papidjacs in collaboration with specialized companies.
